Be careful of this scam

East Algoma OPP are out with the Prize Scam warning.

Police say the scam is once again showing up in this area.

Scammers pull their con by phoning you, sending a pop-up message on your computer, or they e-mail or text you.

What they’re looking for is personal information like bank details or even some up-front money so you can collect your prize.

Police say you can’t win a contest or lottery you never entered and add when you win for real, remember you don’t have to pay to collect.
