The I Can’t Breathe demonstration in Massey had a small, but vocal crowd supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.
Organizer Jayson Stewart says setting up at the intersection of Highway 17 and Imperial Street was perfect for the peaceful rally with hundreds of motorists honking their horns and sharing thumbs up.
He adds there were some 30 people who took part in brandishing posters and yelling their support for the elimination of racism against blacks and Indigenous peoples.
Several rallies have been held in the Algoma, Sudbury and Manitoulin districts over the last week in support of the movement.
