P. C. leadership candidate Christine Elliott is playing down the Liberals extending the Northern Industrial Electricity Rate program. There’s news the program will become permanent. But Elliott says this is a stop gap measure for a problem the Liberals created in the first place because of their poor energy policies. Elliott says the Liberals need to come up with a coherent policy that provides reliable and affordable power. Elliott was in Espanola Thursday afternoon on a tour of northern communities which included Timmins.
