Elliot Lake woman runs for inclusion

The death of George Floyd has led an Elliot Lake woman to run in support of the message of peace advocated by the Black Lives Matter movement.
Katia Ferderber is indigenous and has spent most of her life in Toronto where she’s witnessed the racism that exists.
She says the death of Floyd has left her angry and sad, but energized when it comes to her daily healthy run which she’s doing with her message painted on her clothes and body.
She emphasizes people can educate themselves about the issues and decide how they want to support others who deal with racism.
Ferderber says her message is simple … Racism is here on Canadian soil. Don’t ignore it anymore. If you see it, don’t be a coward, say something.
