Manitoulin OPP has charged a Sables-Spanish Rivers Township man with attempted murder.
OPP Constable Renee Lalonde says on Saturday, around 12:30 pm, police received two separate 911 calls about a weapon.
She says the OPP assisted by the Sagamok-Anishnawbek First Nation police arrested a Sables-Spanish Rivers man without incident.
She adds the 56-year-old has been charged with attempted murder and further charges are pending.
He is to appear in Sudbury bail court today.
Lalonde adds anyone with information is asked to call Detective Constable Janet Vardon at the Espanola detachment.
