There’s some good news for Pele Mountain. The mining company has a Memorandum of Understanding with a Chinese company to help it extract rare earth elements in Elliot Lake. Pele president Al Shefsky says SKN has the technology to get at the rare earth elements in an affordable way. Both companies have to next hammer out an agreement and if that’s not done by mid September, then the Memorandum of Understanding expires.
