It’s the 11th hour for Algoma Central Railway. Federal funding for the rail service ends Tuesday night. Carol Hughes, the MP for Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing, has been pushing for an extension to federal funding. And an angry Hughes says the feds haven’t explored all options to keep the ACR from derailing. A proposal the proponents back is $7 million dollars over five years so that a third party can grow the ACR.
