Espanola police have charged a 17-year-old Elliot Lake girl with assault after an incident in the paper town. The incident stems back to February when a 17-year-old Espanola girl was punched on the side of the face by the accused. The teen was in the local Tim Hortons with friends at the time. The accused left but the victim told police what happened. Several days ago police learned that the Elliot Lake teen was back at Tims and they arrested her. The victim says she’s had past issues with the Elliot Lake girl.
