Last open house today into nuclear waste disposal

Today is the last day to take advantage of an open house either in Blind River or the Township of the North Shore.  That’s where the Nuclear Waste Management Organization is holding another open house today to explain what’s involved in disposing of the waste.  The community centre in Blind River is the site of one open house while the other is taking place at the town hall in the Township of the North Shore.  The open houses run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.   Elliot Lake and Blind River are on the list of possible towns to accept the nuclear waste.
