Spring cleaning is different this year due to COVID-19 as a Manitoulin Island agency is telling the public they can no longer accept thrift store items.
Manitoulin Family Resources spokesperson Denise Leblanc says they’ve had to close their storefront to protect their volunteers, so they will no longer accept thrift store donations.
She says the public is asked not to drop items off at their donation shed until they can reopen.
Leblanc adds the food bank is still open and if a referral is needed, to contact their office.
