Nuclear waste open houses continue

The community centre in Blind River should be pretty busy today as well as the town hall in the Township of the North Shore.  That’s where open houses are going on today for people who want to learn more about the disposal of nuclear waste.  The agency heading the project, the Nuclear Waste Management Organization will have staff at both sites to answer questions.  Elliot Lake and Blind River made the short list of possible communities in Canada that can accommodate the waste.  Today’s open houses run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and they’re on again Friday at the same sites and times.
