Elliot Lake has first cases of COVID-19

The City of Elliot Lake has its first three cases of COVID-19

Elliot Lake Family Health Team executive director Nancy Ewen says they have received confirmation of a third local resident testing positive for COVID-19 after close contact with a previous case.

She says anyone who suspects they have COVID-19, can contact the local assessment centre.

She is also asking residents to stay put, and especially no trips to larger cities like Sudbury or Sault Ste. Marie.

Ewen adds no one should be going out, except for groceries and essentials, and that should not be more than once a week.

  • CALL THE COVID-19 ASSESSMENT CENTRE through the Elliot Lake Family Health

Team at 705-461-8882

If you require essential supplies:

  • CALL THE AGE FRIENDLY DELIVERS through the City of Elliot Lake at 705-849-0970.
