THE NUMBERS IN ONTARIO
Here in Ontario, officials report 408 new coronavirus diagnoses as of yesterday, bringing the provincial total to more than four-thousand.

So far, 119 people have died, an increase of 25.

More than 14-hundred cases are considered resolved.

Two-hundred people are in intensive care, 154 of them on ventilators.

Almost 40 long-term care homes are now reporting outbreaks of COVID-19.

The worst is at the Pinecrest nursing home in Bobcaygeon, north of Peterborough.

One more death has been reported, bringing the total to 24.

CORONAVIRUS ELSEWHERE
American officials are warning that this week will be a tragic one in the United States, as the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise.

Surgeon-General Jerome Adams says it’ll be the hardest, and saddest, week of most Americans’ lives.
There are more than 330-thousand cases of COVID-19 across the U-S, one-quarter of the world’s total.
So far, almost ten-thousand people have died.
American officials predict between 100-thousand and 240-thousand Americans will die, even with current isolation measures in place.
Eight states have not yet imposed orders for people to stay at home.
