Food banks in Elliot Lake and Espanola are both continuing to provide food and personal products to those in need with COVID-19 protocols in place.
Elliot Lake Food Bank president, Len Kutchaw, says they are using masks and gloves while maintaining physical distance with only allowing two clients access at a time.
He adds their hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10:00 am to 12 noon and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Espanola Food Bank president, Sue Krysanowski says Helping Hand is open at its regular hours on Wednesdays, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, but the number of clients allowed inside is also being limited following coronavirus protocols.
Both food banks are limiting volunteers and following protocols such as hand-washing, wearing gloves and maintaining physical distance.
Both are taking monetary donations to ensure the shelves remain full.
