Sagamok hosting free food giveaway

A free food giveaway is being held in Sagamok-Anishnawbek First Nation.

According to a press release, Barney’s Bargain has partnered with the Child & Advocacy Unit and local food bank to host the event today.

Only five people at a time will be allowed in the Multi-Education Centre, which runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Anyone attending is asked to bring their own bags.

Community members are also asked to bring extra bags to pick up food for Elders and shut-ins.

The event is open to community members only.
