Elementary and secondary students across the province are still at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, but there is now an opportunity to continue learning online.
Lucia Reece, education director with the Algoma District School Board, says students across the province are being provided with an online portal to support learning over the next two weeks.
She says the portal, introduced by the province on Friday, is Phase One of the ‘Learn at Home” strategy.
Reece adds the government has indicated schools may remain closed beyond April 5th and if that happens, the province will implement Phase Two of the strategy.
The portal is broken down into different types of programming depending on student’s needs.
The portal can be accessed at this link: www.ontario.ca/page/learn-at-
