Three local school boards have had to cancel classes due to strike action.
The Rainbow District School Board has cancelled classes today at all its secondary schools including Espanola High and Manitoulin Secondary.
English Public schools with the Algoma District School Board are not affected.
All French Catholic and French Public schools in the Sudbury District will be closed today including École St. Joseph and École Franco-Ouest in Espanola.
However, French Catholic schools in Elliot Lake, Blind River and Spanish are open today.
Members and support staff of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation will be on the picket lines.
