Cambrian College hosts high school skilled trades events

The Sudbury campus of Cambrian College was taken over by high school students taking part in skilled trades and technology workshops and competitions.

Cambrian College’s Director of Student Success and Recruitment Renee Scott says Rainbow District School Board students took part in two separate events this Wednesday.

She says the first provided students from Grades 9 to 12 who have already chosen a career in trades or technology to meet with community members in their chosen fields to draw on their experience.

Scott adds the second event had over 100 students compete in 18 different competitions as part of the Rainbow Board’s Skills Competition.

She says the winners will be part of Team Sudbury taking part in the Skills Ontario competition set for May 4th to 6th in Toronto.
