An arrest by the Manitoulin OPP is under investigation by the Special Investigations Unit.
OPP Constable Wendy Forcier says officers were called out about a suspicious person on Sunday evening after receiving several 911 calls.
She says during the interaction with officers a person was arrested and sustained an injury as a result.
She adds they were transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Forcier says the OPP then notified the province’s Special Investigations Unit which has invoked its mandate to investigate, so no further information will be released at this time.
She did not state the charges laid.
