Michael Cywink has worked with hundreds of students over the last 11 years producing unique murals in schools throughout Ontario.
A room at Espanola High School is now home to an Indigenous mural inspired by the Seven Grandfather Teachings themed ‘Water is Life’.
Cywink says students painted the mural under his direction over the last two weeks.
He says the murals, supported by the Ontario Arts Council, assist students in engaging in authentic Indigenous experiences.
Cywink has also shared his teachings with students from across the province since 2009.
