Espanola-North Shore Snowarama will be saying thank you to its ambassadors in a special way, starting this year.
Easter Seals and the Moose 99.3FM CJJM – Espanola has teamed up for several years hosting the event to raise funds for children with physical disabilities.
Emily Rose Richer of Massey, who was just shy of her 17th birthday when she passed away in December of last year, was an Ambassador several times over the years.
With her passing, the Moose 99.3FM CJJM – Espanola has created The Miss Emily Rose Richer Memorial Award to acknowledge the family’s close relationship with Easter Seals over the years.
The Award will acknowledge the Ambassadors who will also receive plaques of their own.
This year, there are two: Naomi Pitawanakwat-Esuk of Whitefish River First Nation and Richard (Ricky) Dixon of Espanola.
The inaugural presentation will take place this Sunday as part of Snowarama 2020.
