Seniors who want to celebrate their musical and artistic talents can be part of a new Elliot Lake Winterfest 2020 event.
Seniors Showcase Master of Ceremonies, Jim Graham says this is the first time the event will be held in the city and close to 100 seniors are expected to take part.
He says the event is being organized by the DiversityCanada Foundation, a local not-for-profit, which was established back in 2004 to provide opportunities for seniors to remain active in the community.
He emphasizes it is an important part of maintaining seniors’ health and wellness.
Graham adds the showcase will take place at the Collins Hall on February 29th from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm, and will also feature a winter craft market, historical displays, and various arts and crafts.
Admission is free.
