A Manitoulin Island woman has been charged with theft.
Manitoulin OPP Constable Marie Ford says the police received a call about a theft on Saturday, which occurred in Burpee Township on Manitoulin Island.
She says when officers investigated further they found a person of interest with a vehicle stuck in the snow.
Ford says a 55-year-old woman from Burpee Township was charged with theft under $5,000.
She is to appear in Gore Bay court on February 19th.
