There is another one-day strike affecting local schools in the Sudbury and Manitoulin districts.
Rainbow District School Board communications advisor, Nicole Charette says all elementary schools will be closed today in Espanola, Massey, across Manitoulin Island, and in Sudbury.
She says the closure is due to one-day job action by members of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario who is protesting the breakdown in talks with the provincial government.
Charette adds the secondary schools are open though including Espanola High, Manitoulin Secondary and all the high schools overseen by the board in Sudbury.
