A Massey area woman has had a life-saving liver transplant.
Elizabeth Cassidy had a liver transplant on Wednesday from a live matching donor.
A portion of their liver, which is all that is needed, was transplanted to Cassidy.
Cassidy’s liver, which had failed her just over a year ago due to a chronic illness was also removed.
Cassidy extends a thank you to everyone for their prayers and well wishes.
She will remain in Toronto hospital for a few months while she recovers and enters an anti-rejection regimen.
