The Legion in Elliot Lake has donated a substantial cheque for the CT scanner.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 361 in Elliot Lake presented William Elliot, the chair of the hospital board, with a cheque for $9,000 to go towards the cost of the scanner.
The new piece of equipment has been ordered and is expected to be up and running by late Spring.
