Over $100K in drugs, firearms and stolen property seized

A Manitoulin Island woman and two Massey men are facing numerous charges following an investigation into multiple thefts by Espanola OPP.

Espanola OPP Constable Renee Lalonde says on December 16th police executed a search warrant in Massey leading to the recovery of stolen property including vehicles, firearms, machinery and tools valued at over $100,000 and various drugs.

She adds following the subsequent investigation, a 21-year-old woman from M’Chigeeng First Nation is facing a charge of break and enter and numerous counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

A 62-year old man and a 38-year-old man, both from Massey, are also facing possession of stolen property, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and several drug possession charges among others.

Lalonde adds anyone who has had property stolen recently can come forward to see if they can identify any of the items.
