Daycare services enhanced

A resolution from East Ferris council asking groups it’s associated with to provide daycare services at their conferences is paying off.
Council argued sometimes municipal politicians with kids don’t attend conferences because they can’t get daycare services.
The Executive Director of the Ontario Good Roads Association has heard the complaint and is providing a solution with subsidized daycare.
Joe Tiernay says council delegates can access a Toronto childcare service and they just need to do one thing before Good Roads antes up the subsidy.
Tiernay says it means the delegate is out about 17 dollars an hour.
He adds it’s up to the delegate’s council to decide if it will cover any part of the delegate’s share of the daycare expenses.
