A public seminar will be hosted by a specialty unit of the OPP focusing on helping people, especially seniors, to avoid being scammed.
Community safety officer with East Algoma OPP, Constable Phil Young, says more and more things are changing to a paperless society, but not everyone wants to do business on a phone, tablet or computer.
To that end, the OPP will host the free seminar in Elliot Lake to help people protect themselves from Internet and other scams.
The seminar will be held at 1:00 pm, January 21st at the Renaissance Centre in Elliot Lake.
