Heaven Cent Distributes Thousands

The annual Celebration of Giving has wrapped up as part of the Heaven Cent Campaign.

Huron Superior Catholic school board communications director, Jim Fitzpatrick says over $20,000 was distributed to those in need last week. He adds the Heaven Cent Campaign is comprised of three calls to action: Adoption, Action and Alms. The Adoption aspect saw gifts purchased for 57 students in need within the board. He adds the Action component included creating 1,050 Christmas cards for seniors.

And, the Alms portion centered on raising funds for various local organizations, as selected by the students.
