Some input will be welcomed by taxpayers and residents of Elliot Lake as part of the 2020 budget process.
CAO Daniel Gagnon suggested town hall meetings be held elsewhere, but most of the committee members want the meetings maintained in council chambers with access to live-streaming.
Gagnon adds there would no decisions made at those meetings, only seeking input and answering questions from the public.
He also asked members of the city’s finance and administration committee to decide on dates and times for the Budget Committee meetings in January.
He adds items that could include various priorities, such as the delivery of services, the planned arts and recreation hubs, and departmental priorities.
