The Member of Parliament for Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing will resume her duties as Assistant Deputy Speaker and Chair of the Committee of the Whole after being re-appointed to the position.
NDPer, Carol Hughes says she looks forward to playing an integral role in making the House more functional and less partisan in this minority Liberal government scenario.
She adds she will continue to defend the interests of her constituents while serving the House as a Deputy Speaker.
Hughes is honoured to be in the position once again while ensuring the riding continues to be well represented.
