Most Algoma, Manitoulin, and Sudbury district schools will be closed or cancel classes today due to the one-day strike by teachers and support staff.
Rainbow District School board schools, including Espanola High, Manitoulin Secondary and others in Sudbury will cancel classes for the day.
However, it will be businesses as usual for JK to Grade 8 schools within the Rainbow Board.
All English Public schools, both elementary and secondary, will be closed in the Algoma District School Board.
All French Catholic schools will be closed including those in Elliot Lake, Blind River, and Espanola.
The English Catholic schools are all remaining open.
Most daycare centres are not affected by the strike.
