Annual Espanola Elks Hamper Fundraiser

Preparations are set for the Espanola Elks to host the 42nd annual year of hosting the Elks Christmas Hamper Fund.

This annual event is hosted in partnership with the Moose FM CJJM 99.3 – Espanola and will be held from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Espanola Mall, near the FreshCo Entrance.

Moose FM Morning Host, Rosalind (Roz) Russell and Elk members collect donations to assist in the purchase of Christmas hampers for those less fortunate.

There is a need especially at this time of year to help those families who are less fortunate during the Christmas season. With that being said the Espanola Elks Lodge is asking for support, whether it be financial, food donations or to aid them in delivering the hampers.

Last year, they had a request for 150 Christmas Hampers throughout their coverage area, which spans from Nairn Centre to Massey, to Whitefish Falls and of course the Espanola immediate area.

The Elks Club of Espanola once again stepped up to the plate with their benevolence for families in need living in the area. They acknowledge this cannot be done each year without the generous support of those in the community.
