It has been several weeks since Integrity Commissioner reports regarding members of Elliot Lake council were released publicly and Elliot Lake Mayor Dan Marchisella has called a special meeting of council tonight to deal with sanctions for councillors Chris Patrie and Ed Pearce.
City CAO Daniel Gagnon says the delay was to allow time for council and the public to review the reports of Code of Conduct breaches from the Integrity Commissioner law firm, E4m of Sault Ste. Marie.
He adds the possible sanctions include removing Patrie from the council and loss of remuneration for both.
The meeting will be live-streamed and is set for 6:00 pm followed by the regular meeting of the council.
