Controversy continues over closure of Elliot Lake agency

The Elliot Lake Centre for Development may be shutdown, but that’s not stopping the former chair from challenging the mayor’s comments over the closure.  Mayor Dan Marchisella told Moose FM that two councillors did not bully an employee of the centre.  But former chair Tom Farquhar says the employee in question never talked to the mayor about the incident.  Farquhar also says the centre had the right to dispose of its assets to non- profit groups under an agreement with the province.  It’s disposing these assets that triggered the council order to close the centre last week because council’s position is the assets belong to the City.
