A traffic stop by Espanola OPP has led to a local man being charged with several drug offences.
OPP Constable Renee Lalonde says police initiated a traffic stop in Espanola on October 29th and found that the driver was suspended.
She says following a search of the vehicle, officers found a quantity of suspected purple heroin, heroin, crack cocaine, methadone and a large amount of money.
Lalonde says charges against the 41-year-old man from Espanola man were laid last week.
He has been charged with three charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds under $5,000 obtained by crime and two suspended driver infractions.
The man is to appear in Espanola court on December 16th.
