The owner of the Pearson Plaza in Elliot Lake has re-opened the washrooms following a public outcry.
City CAO, Daniel Gagnon told The Moose last week the washrooms had been closed to the public, but with no consultation with tenants.
He says the city is a tenant and the facility is also used as a stopover for public transit, so they raised concerns with mall owner, McCowan and Associates.
The food court and washrooms were barricaded and closed to the public last Wednesday.
That also led to a public outcry from other tenants and mall users.
The washrooms are now re-opened and available to the public.
