Espanola students react to sex education changes

Most Espanola High School students surveyed about the proposed new sex education program oppose it.  Fifty students were asked for their thoughts and 38 say they don’t like it.  One of those students is Teanna Kring who is in Grade 12.  She believes the province is trying to get children to grow up too fast.  However Grade 10 student Meaghan Maher likes the change and believes young children should learn about sex at an early age so they don’t make mistakes.  The new program starts teaching about sex as early as Grade 1 where students are taught the name of body parts.
