An Espanola school is planning a food drive for Halloween night.
School spokesperson, Joanna Castonguay says Ecole Franco-Ouest will host its annual drive to help fill the shelves at local food banks.
She says the ‘we scare hunger’ event will see around 30 students going door-to-door collecting non-perishable food items, as well as monetary donations.
Castonguay adds last year, they doubled the amount collected: 1,642 items and $240 for both Espanola’s and Massey’s food banks.
