A special anniversary will be celebrated on Manitoulin Island for an agency that provides various family services.
Manitoulin Family Resources, originally known as Haven House, is celebrating 35 years of providing services to people on the Manitoulin Island and along the North Shore corridor.
The agency works in three key areas: Violence against Women Prevention, which also includes access to a women shelter; Children’s Services including childcare and emotional supports for children and Emergency Food Assistance through its food bank and thrift store.
Central Manitoulin Public School will host the event starting at 11:00 am tomorrow morning.
Besides several presentations, families will enjoy a barbecue, children’s games, and live auction.
