Ontario government and CUPE heading back to bargaining table
The Ontario government and the union representing the province’s education workers are going back to the bargaining table Friday.
The talks between CUPE and the government are meant to try and head off a strike currently set to get underway on Monday and are expected to continue through the weekend. Several school boards have said classes won’t be in session if the union’s 55-thousand members walk off the job as part of their contract negotiations.
