Photo supplied by the City of Elliot Lake Elliot Lake’s Public Works Manager is recommending that changes be made to the number of bags picked up curbside on a weekly basis, as well as a fee schedule for anyone who wants to put out more than the limit. Public Works Manager Darrel Halloch is proposing a bylaw be tabled to place a two-bag limit on weekly garbage pickup. He also proposes that is should cost $2 for each tag for additional bags to build revenues. His report will go before the city’s Finance and Administration Committee next Monday. The committee will discuss his proposals and depending on their decision, the proposed changes will be brought before council by mid-October at the earliest.
