SIU clears OPP in Chapleau balcony death

The Special Investigations Unit says there are no grounds to charge an OPP officer after a man in Chapleau died last August.  The man fell from a second-floor balcony and hit his head on a patio dying three days later in hospital.  Before he fell, the man threatened to shoot another tenant in the building.  The SIU found that the man was very drunk when he fell and there was no struggle on the balcony.  It says nothing that police on the scene did led to the man climbing over the balcony railing.
