Photo provided by OAPC A Manitoulin Island paramedic who has gone above and beyond was awarded one of the most prestigious awards given in the service. Last Thursday, Aaron Wright was awarded the Governor General’s Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal at the Ontario Paramedics 2019 awards dinner held in Windsor. To qualify, at least ten of their 20 years of service must have been street level duty involving potential risk to the individual. Since the award’s inception, there have been nearly 2,100 Ontario recipients.
