The House of Kin in Sudbury now has a room totally funded through the efforts of Elliot Lake.  For the past five years the group Friends from Elliot Lake has been trying to raise $25,000 to sponsor the room.  The catalyst for the drive was Elliot Lake Moose FM morning man Bob Alexander.   And now local resident Ginette Vachon got the group over the top with a $2,400 donation.   Earlier, $2,500 came from the North Shore Cruisers Car Club and the Elliot Lake Volunteer Firefighters gave $100.  The House of Kin gives people driving to Sudbury for medical appointments an affordable place to stay.
