There has been a growing concern about the number of seniors who have been scammed or defrauded in the local area.
To that end, the Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers is hosting a free fraud seminar in partnership with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
A volunteer from the centre, Ormond Carnegie, will the guest speaker with a focus on helping seniors recognize scams and frauds either by phone, mail or on the Internet.
Although geared to seniors, the presentation will have value for any member of the public and all are invited to attend.
The seminar takes place tomorrow evening at the Massey Area Arena in the Sadowski room at 7:00 pm.
