Blind River looking at municipal properties

Following one of the most daunting winters in local history, the Town of Blind River is looking at its municipal facilities to make sure they are up to par.

Council called for a complete structural review of all town-owned sites in March, which has just been completed.

Blind River CAO Kathryn Scott told council that town staff could develop a plan for replacement or repairs of various facilities, as well as amalgamation of some of them.

She adds they can also seek out grants to offset the costs.

Scott adds a presentation from the planner and engineer is expected at the September 16th council meeting, which will provide details from the report.
