SPORTS: Golf tourney assists hospital

The Espanola Annual Fall Classic made a donation of $5,000 to the Espanola Hospital Foundation to go towards the new x-ray suite.

Sixteen teams took part in the tournament, organized by Union Local Unifor 74 and fellow member unions in partnership with McCulloch Insurance and supported by local businesses, such as Espanola Home Hardware, which donated a $500 prize barbecue.

The cheque presentation was made at the first tee-off on Saturday morning.
