The owner of the Espanola Rivermen is apologizing to the community and fans over how the inaugural season of the CIHL turned out. The league lost six of its 10 teams this season leaving only four Northern teams to finish off the schedule. But Rivermen owner Tim Clayden says if council support is there, he wants to be back. Clayden says right now the four Northern teams are back and joining them will be four clubs from Michigan. And as a show of good faith, Clayden says there’s no charge to attend this Saturday’s awards banquet in Espanola.
